Andrea DiCicco is an English language arts teacher at Cranston High School East, where she has taught since 2002. A dedicated educator and mentor, she has contributed to curriculum development, professional learning communities, and statewide initiatives including the Rhode Island Department of Education and the Rhode Island Writing Project.
Committed to equity and student voice, Andrea has led impactful programs such as Cinderella’s Closet, a free prom for the Class of 2017, and Cranston’s Senior Walk tradition. She also created the Mirror-Mirror elective, focused on identity and media.
Named the 2025 Cranston Public Schools District Teacher of the Year, Andrea is passionate about building meaningful relationships and creating engaging, student-centered environments. She joined The Search through Ed Brady, helping connect students and educators to the community and support the next generation of creatives.
