Ericka Atwell-Cardona

Ericka is a true Swiss Army knife in entertainment. After spending a decade in Hollywood working in TV and film alongside some of the industry’s most accomplished producers, directors, and talent, she returned to her Rhode Island roots ready for a new chapter.

Taking a leap of faith, she launched EJOYA Productions and soon after was tapped to serve as the Director of Development and Community Engagement for the prestigious Rhode Island International Film Festival—bringing a touch of Hollywood right here to Rhode Island. She also teaches acting every Wednesday for the Artists’ Exchange adult day program, a role she genuinely loves.

Most recently, she created Sketch Rhode Island, the state’s first-ever sketch comedy group, where she writes, produces, directs, casts, and coaches local performers for live audiences.

Across all her work, Ericka is committed to creating opportunities—for herself and for the talent she mentors. She reminds every performer that it’s called show business for a reason, and empowers them to take ownership of their gifts by “letting down the ladder” for the next person.
