Alex Walsh

Alex Walsh is an acoustic folk singer-songwriter and math teacher based in Providence, Rhode Island. Influenced by artists like Wilco and Joni Mitchell, she writes introspective, nature-inspired songs and released her debut album “A Moment in Time” in 2024. Alex discovered The Search after performing at Myrtle’s open mic, where she was encouraged to audition. She has appeared at venues including Rhode Island Folk Fest, AS220, and Providence PorchFest and has recorded direct-to-vinyl singles with Leesta Vall. With over 150 original songs written, Alex brings authenticity, lyrical depth, and a warm stage presence to the competition.
